Lecture on Legacy of Istanbul at HKIED

Istanbul, is the city where it connects continents. Where it became the capital of 3 recent empires.
Napoleon Bonaparte has a remarkable words about istanbul; “If the world was only one country, Istanbul would be its capital!”
Istanbul has a significant importance in history and also in our modern times. Because of its geopolitical situation, its heritages, its beauty etc. Istanbul always had the fame and attraction among all nations of the world.
On 2nd of November 2015, HKIED invited Pearl Institute (Formerly known as ACDC) to learn more about this legacy and its history.
Mr. Yelbay had been invited to give a lecture on Ottomans and the Legacy of the Istanbul to the students after a class about history of Ottoman, and the region of the time.
In his speech, Mr. Yelbay mentioned cultural, political, geopolitical, economical and social aspects of Ottomans and Istanbul.
After he finalised the lecture, he welcomed the questions.
Fellowing the lecture, there were Ebru Water Marbling Art workshop had been introduced, and toughted to the students. Students also enjoyed the practicing of the art.
