Pearl Institute is always committed to a better understanding of Hong Kong society and attempts to serve a more active role in serving the community and society. On 25th August, Pearl Institute organized an elderly home visit in Haji Omar Ramju Sadick Care and Attention Home, which is located in Tuen Men and operated by United Muslim Association of Hong Kong. Twelve volunteers- including young men and women from Hong Kong, mainland China, Turkey, Azerbaijan, and Russia- visited the elderly home, bring fresh fruits and wonderful performance. The elderly were enchanted by the beautiful music that came from Saz and Darbuka and followed a Tai Ji player to do simple physical exercise. What’s more, even though we could not communicate a lot due to the language barrier, the happiness on their face was obvious because of being accompanied and being concerned.
