Iftar with Friends from

EVENT DETAILS

Fasting is practiced in many religious traditions and spiritual practices. We believe common traditions like fasting has important opportunities for people

from different faith communities to get closer to each other. Now, we are in the holy month of Ramadan, in which Muslims fast from the break of dawn to sunset. In this month, it is customary to invite friends, neighbors and relatives to share the fast breaking meal.

As aimed to foster the mutual understanding and respect to each other, PI (Formerly known as ACDC) has been organizing dialogue dinners with different occasions and platforms. Therefore PI gathered with friends from ” Our Lady of Lourdes Church” for friendship dinner as a humble presentation of common ground, friendship and peace on 9th of July 2014.

As like other dinners the night witnessed a strong friendship among people of different religions and cultural backgrounds. Rev. Alejandro Mendez-PEREZ (M.G.), Parish Priest of the Church, expressed his feelings to emphasize for importance of understanding and togetherness as “I witnessed throughout the night that the similarities between us is % 99.99 same there is nothing we talk what separates us.”

We appreciate all our friends for attending our dinners and strengthening our mutual love and respect.
