On 22nd of May 2013, Pearl Institute (Formerly known as Anatolia Cultural & Dialogue Centre) organized a lecture on Feng Shui and its effects on Hong Kong. The lecture was given by Geography Professor Lawal Marafa , the professor at the Department of Geography and Resource Management of Chinese University of Hong Kong.
Before he started his talk, Dr Marafa explained what Feng Shui is and how it is important in Hong Kong by introducing masters of Feng Shui.
In his fruitful and cheerful speech he gave many samples of Feng Shui’s effects on the relation between the water and mountains.
He emphasized on how Feng Shui has an influence in human life and gave examples from different countries and their understandings of Feng Shui. He also stated that Feng Shui became a kind of belief in some places while it can be used as a political tool in others.
Dr. Marafa ended his presentation showing some visual Feng Shui Samples from all around the world.
The night continued by the service of refreshments and Q & A part.
