A Very Special Feast Meat at “CityU and PolyU”

EVENT DETAILS

“The Feast of Sacrifice commemorates Prophet Abraham’s (PBUH) obedience to God as he was tested to sacrifice his beloved son. On this day, God sent his angel Gabriel and provided Abraham a ram in place of his beloved son. Since then, it has been celebrated by Muslims to commemorate this day by sacrificing animals such as cow, sheep and goat in memory of Abraham’s devotion. Muslims are obliged to distribute two-third of the meat to the people in need.”

The Feast of Sacrifice is a holiday to celebrate and share with families, friends and the community. As regarding this aspect, Pearl Institute (Formerly known as Anatolia Cultural and Dialogue Centre) organized this festival at one of the best Universities of Hong Kong separately.

At the nights, students joined to this special sharing and enjoyed a very different and a very special meat. “I have never tasted such delicious meat so far” said a young Lady from CityU. “Many thanks to PI to give a chance to learn and gather this diversity of students here, unfortunately it is not a usual things for us to see more than two hundred students at the same hall, thank you again..” said Ms Helen Lam, Manager of Mainland and External Affair Office.

More than 400 students joined to feasts at PolyU and CityU.
